Good morning and welcome to the Freedom New Mexico Wednesday briefing.
Local Top Dog
The infamous Dachshund, Sasha, who won the Clovis Wiener National’s qualifying race back in July will be competing for the title of “Top Dog” in the 2011 Annual Wiener National Finals.
Sasha is one of seven dogs competing for the 2011 title.
Her win at the Clovis race secured her spot in the finals that take place on Dec. 28 at the San Diego Big Bay Balloon Parade.
Owners Bruce and Kathy Rice have been training 24/7 for this coveted title. The winner will receive the $1,000 grand prize and will be honored on the Holiday Bowl field at halftime.
Toddle Time
It’s Toddle Time 10 a.m. Thursday at the Clovis-Carver Library.
This is for children 10 months to 3 years of age.
